What inspired you to start photography?
It all started with snowboard and skateboard movies and magazines. There was also one guy in the crew who was taking photos of local BMX riders and who inspired me to get my first camera.

What drives you to continue progressing and pushing yourself?
Simply just this idea that there’s always more to learn. Sometimes it happens that I look through my old photos and I’m like ‘Damn, I could do better, or I would change this and that’. I just can’t stop exploring new techniques and trying new ideas.

What part does fitness / health / wellness play in your life?
It plays a big part. Constantly being on the road, adjusting to climate changes and new time zones every other week takes it’s toll and can easily ruin you physically and mentally. I always make sure I get a good night’s sleep and eat healthy. Whenever I’m home I see my osteopath or a massage therapist who take care of my body and help relieve stress. And although I work out at home I can never really manage to find extra time and energy to exercise when I’m on my work trips. Luckily, my job keeps my lifestyle active as I snowboard, skate or surf all the time, but I’m trying to learn how to include a couple work out sessions in-between.

What has photography taught you about yourself?
It has taught me patience and to believe in what I do.
04 / 06
What would you hope to inspire in the people who look up to you?
To be themselves, to be curious, to never give up and be passionate about what they do.

Any words or tips to people who want to start photography?
Practice and make mistakes. If you want this to become your career try to figure out what the purpose of your photography is. Put your heart into it. And just know that photography takes time, just like anything else.
